Make Sure You Drink Enough Water
Sunday, October 24th, 2010Water is an important element in our lives. No matter where we are, whether it be home, work, school, or play we need to make sure that we have access to and are drinking enough water. If we strategically place water coolers in convenient locations, chances are we will consume quite a bit more water during our day. Many times, our bodies are thirsty and we, in our hurried day, don’t even take time to realize it but if we’re walking right past a water cooler or drinking fountain, chances are we will stop to get a drink.
Not drinking enough water can easily dehydrate us without us even realizing that it’s happening. When we don’t have enough water in our bodies, it can affect us mentally and physically. Even mild dehydration can cause our bodies to feel fatigued. This is especially important if we’re at work or school as we need to be able to think and reason at our maximum potential. If we aren’t putting enough water into our bodies, unfortunately we won’t be able to do this. A strategically placed water cooler or drinking fountain in a classroom or office setting will not take away from the work being done in the room, in fact, it will effectively increase the efficiency as our bodies are working more healthfully when we’re drinking the proper amount of water during the day.
It stands to reason that we need to drink sufficient amounts of water each day since our bodies are made up of about 60% water. Water is vitally important to the function of our bodies. Drinking water helps to flush toxins, that we are exposed to on a daily basis, out of our bodies. When a water cooler or a drinking fountain is accessible, we will obviously drink more than when there is nothing accessible.
If for nothing but health reasons, buying or renting water coolers or drinking fountains for schools and work places is a good idea. There are many types available to rent or purchase. Sometimes we forget about how much water we really should drink, but passing a water cooler or fountain tends to make us aware how much we need to drink to our (and for our) health.
